Kurukshetra University and Brahma Sarovar: A Day of Exploration

On a crisp morning of March 8th, we embarked on our adventure. The sun was just beginning to rise as we set off in our trusty car, eager to explore the historical and spiritual sites of Kurukshetra.

Our first stop was *Kurukshetra University*, nestled in the holy city of Kurukshetra. Founded in 1956, this prestigious institution stands on the western bank of BrahmSarovar (the holy tank) and covers an expansive 400-acre campus. As we entered, the air buzzed with scholarly energy, and the serene surroundings invited us to delve into its rich heritage.The *Dharohar Haryana Museum*, located within the university campus, was our primary attraction. Established in two phases (2006 and 2013), this museum showcases artifacts related to Haryanavi culture. Imagine stepping back in time as you explore fifty sections filled with traditional artworks, handicrafts, and historical relics. Dr. Vivek Chawla, the curator, has meticulously preserved the essence of Haryana's past, allowing visitors like us to connect with the region's roots.

The museum’s story began during the golden jubilee year of Kurukshetra University. Its first phase was established on April 28, 2006, followed by the second phase on April 6, 2013. These milestones marked the birth of an institution dedicated to preserving and celebrating Haryana’s rich cultural heritage.As you step into the museum, you’re greeted by a captivating display of over a thousand artifacts related to Haryanavi culture. These treasures are thoughtfully arranged across fifty distinct sections, each narrating a unique aspect of the state’s history and traditions. From ancient relics to contemporary artworks, the museum weaves a vivid tapestry of Haryana’s past. Dr. Vivek Chawla, the curator of the Dharohar Haryana Museum, is the guiding force behind its curation. His passion for preserving and showcasing Haryana’s legacy shines through every exhibit. With meticulous attention to detail, Dr. Chawla ensures that visitors connect with the essence of the region—its art, craftsmanship, and cultural evolution.

From the university, we made our way to Brahma Sarovar, an ancient water pool sacred to Hinduism. This serene sarovar, situated in Thanesar, Kurukshetra, is believed to offer both physical and internal cleansing. Legend has it that King Kuru, ancestor of the Pandavas and Kauravas, dug this pond after a grand yagna performed by Lord Brahma himself. Bathing in its holy waters is said to minimize the negative effects of solar eclipses, drawing devotees from across the country.As we stood by the sarovar’s edge, the sun’s rays danced on the water, creating a mesmerizing play of light. In the middle of the sarovar, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Kali stood tall. The Shiva-linga here, established by Lord Brahma, exuded an aura of divinity. And there, a colossal idol of Lord Krishna, preaching to Arjuna, reminded us of the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita.
After our spiritual sojourn, hunger pangs led us to Amrik Sukhdev Dhaba—a legendary eatery on the Grand Trunk Road (NH-1).The aroma of freshly made parathas, soft butter, and piping hot chai welcomed us as we settled into the classic decor. From North Indian delicacies to global flavors, their menu tantalized our taste buds.We savored every bite, relishing the authenticity of desi ghee, whole wheat flour, and brass utensils used in their cooking.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we bid farewell to Kurukshetra, our hearts full of memories. The return journey was long, but the flavors of Amrik Sukhdev’s parathas lingered, reminding us that every adventure—whether spiritual or gastronomic—is worth the fatigue.

And so, our day ended—a blend of history, spirituality, and hearty meals. Kurukshetra had etched itself into our souls, promising to draw us back whenever wanderlust called.

शहीद भगत सिंह अब दोबारा जन्म लेगा

इस कलयुग को अब वो ही खतम करेगा

महात्मा गांधी का सपना सपना ही रहजाएगा

भरत मा की आँखों मे आँसू रह जाएगा

कश्मीर मे आंतनकवाद ने जो गदर मचाई है

रानी लक्ष्मी बाई की याद फिर से आई है

जागो भागात सिंह तुम्हें फिर से  जनम लेना होगा

कश्मीर मे फैले आंतनकवाद को खतम करना ही होगा

 

बहुत खेल ली हमने अब खून की होली

अब तो भरदों भगवान खुशियों से कश्मीर की झोली

उसकी सुंदरता पर जो कलंक लगता जा रहा है

उसको मिटाने के लिए कोई तो फरिश्ता आ रहा है

 

रोती माँ का दर्द अब न ही देखा जाता है

हस्ते बच्चों के मुह की लॉइली पोप ले जाता है

इन आतंकवादियों का क्या जाता है

रोते हुए लोगों का दर्द इन्हे कहा रुलाता है

 

जब इनका कोई अपना मृत्यु पाएगा

तब जाकर इनके मुह पे शिकन नजर आएगा

उठो भारतवासियों  उठो

जागो तुम अब जागो

 

रोती हुई मा का मुख फिर से खिल जाएगा

जब भागात सिंह दोबारा इस दुनिया मे आएगा

 

सैनिक है वो फ़रिश्ते हमारे

जिन्होंने जान अपनी दाव लगाई

भारत माँ की खातिर

सीने पे गोली खाई

 

सियाचिन की ठंड मे जो

डट के खड़े रहते है

सैनिक जी तो है हमारे

जिनको फ़रिश्ते हम कहते है

 

रजिस्थान की रेत पर

उठ पे होकर सवार

रात दिन चौकन्ना रहते

वीर हमारे बॉर्डर पार

 

बूढ़ी माँ घर मे अकेली

छोटे बच्चों की सताती याद

फर्ज निभाना है फौजी को

भूल कर अपना घर परिवार

                            

उठो भारत वासी उठो

लगाओ अब तुम भी हुंकार

बंद करो यह अत्याचार

दे रहा कश्मीर पुकार

 

जाए आवाज नदियों पर

दे रहा कश्मीर पुकार

उठो भारत वासी उठो

 ऐक स्थान बताओ ऐसा 

जहा ना मिलता भ्रष्टाचार 

पेड़ उगा यह ऐसा एक 

फैली जिसकी जड़ें अपार 

पीडबल्यूडी , दरोगा ,डॉक्टर 

या फिर हो चलती सरकार 

काम नहीं करते एक भी 

करते रहते वादे चार 

मरीज को देखेगे बाद में 

पहले चाहिए नोटों का हार 

लाश को भी जिंदा करदे 

ऐसा फैला यह भरष्ट्राचार 

नशा करो या तोड़ो सिगनल 

लड़की छेड़ो या करो कोई अपराध 

चाचा विधायक है हमारे 

नहीं चाहिए कोई और प्रमाण 

लंच ब्रेक लेकर जो यह 

घंटों फोन चलाते  है

नजाने इसे निर्दय लोग 

क्यूँ भगवान बनाते है 

खड़ा गरीब घंटों धूप में 

यह ऐसी कार मे आते है 

नोटों का बाक्सा दिखा कर 

कानून हमको दिखतें है 

यह राम रहीम के नारों से 

जो जनता तुमने बाटीं है 

यह मकड़ी ऐसी लाएं है 

जो नफरत का जाल बनाती है 

पैसा फेक तमाशा देख की 

आइडीआलजी जो अपनाई है 

इसि चक्कर मे इन्होंने 

गरीब की जान सुखाई है 

रात दिन मार कर जो कमाएं 

उसको इनको लूटना है 

करले अगर जो कांड यह कोई 

पैसा दे कर छूटना है

अंधे का चश्मा पहनाकर 

लाठी हमको देगे यह 

आसानी से हुए काम का 

पैसा हमसे लेगे यह 

भाषण ऐसा देते है 

जो राम राज यह लाएगे 

हिन्दू मुस्लिम को लड़वाकर 

खूब मजे उठायेगे 

इन भराष्ट्राचारियों का कुछ 

तो हमको करना होगा 

जाने वाले चले गए 

अब युवा को ही लड़ना होगा ।

"Nauru Independence Day "

Nauru Independence Day is celebrated as a national holiday on January 31 each year. On this day in 1968, the Republic of Nauru declared independence. The 22nd anniversary of the Nauruans’ return from Truk was also honored on this day. Chuuk Lagoon is the name given to Truk nowadays. The day is celebrated all over the island nation with parades, dances, carnivals, and remembering the struggle for independence. Despite being a small country — just 13 square miles — it is quickly becoming a tourist favorite due to its beautiful oceans and beaches.

History behind this day:-

The Germans governed Nauru until the last years of the 19th century. They had discovered Nauru’s plentiful phosphorus reserves and realized that the island’s natural resources could be a source of great riches. Nauru was controlled jointly by Australia, New Zealand, and England following the end of World War I! This changed during World War II when Japan arrived on the island of Nauru and used it as an airstrip. When the war ended, Australia, New Zealand, and England regained control of Nauru. The administration, on the other hand, was solely the responsibility of Australia.

Nauru became a sovereign republic on January 31, 1968, when it declared independence from England. When the Japanese troops landed in Nauru in 1945, they deported 1,200 native islanders to the Chuuk Lagoon (or Truk) as laborers. After the Japanese lost, the Nauruans returned home on this day in 1946. To commemorate this landmark event, January 31 was honored as the Independence Day of Nauru.

The national flag of Nauru is the greatest representation of the country. The flag depicts the geographical position of Nauru, a degree below the equator – the Equator is shown by a golden horizontal line and Nauru as a 12-point white star. The white color signifies phosphate, the source of the nation’s prosperity, and each point represents one of the island’s 12 indigenous tribes. The Pacific Ocean is represented by the blue background of the flag. ‘Nauru Bwiema’ is the national anthem. Margaret Hendrie wrote it in 1862, and Laurence Henry Hicks composed the music.

National Freedom Day

Let Freedom Ring… especially on February 1. Confused? It’s National Freedom Day! This day was founded to celebrate the freedoms we enjoy as U.S. citizens, freedoms that we should never take for granted. Specifically, the holiday commemorates the day in 1865 when President Abraham Lincoln signed what would later become the 13th Amendment. This amendment is so important because it effectively ended slavery in the United States. Freedom is one of the founding principles of the United States of America and this day was envisioned as a way for all citizens to take a moment to appreciate how lucky they are. We should all be thankful for the many freedoms we are afforded as citizens of this great country!

So today is National Escape Day , and I would like to tell u something which excites me the most whenever this word comes in my mind 'escapism' . Mainly this word comes to my mind when I have a lot of stuffs to do , but due to lack time sometimes i procrastinate. We all sometimes want to get escaped from this world because we all are just rushing toward future , living in this world of cut throat competition we all forgot to live our life. in class 12 we had a chapter named 'third level' which is also based on this word escapism. 

The story, ‘The Third Level’ clearly explores the science fiction genre of ‘time travel’. Jack Finney, the recipient of the World Fantasy Award, interweaves fantasy with reality in his projection of time travel. Charley, the protagonist wishes to be transported to the third level, the world of Galesburg, Illinois, 1894, which is supposed to be a much happier and quieter place to be in. The story also dwells on the theme of escapism as a psychological refuge from the grim realities of the present day world along with a desire to stay with the past—a desire that Charley’s wife Louisa does not contest. Sam has also happily escaped, with no desire to return to his old profession .The story exposes the vulnerable side of the common man. Surrounded by myriad problems, we humans, sometimes experience a craving for peace and serenity, and look for possible escapes. This story is about time intersection, an illusion, a kind of long dream that we do not experience during our sleep.

In the end i just only want to say that don't escape from the situation just try to bear it and then only you will be more stronger .
